LEADING public figures face a grilling from over 200 Ottery residents at the King s School this Friday (August 15).

LEADING public figures face a grilling from over 200 Ottery residents at the King's School this Friday (August 15).

The town will host BBC Radio four's Any Questions and after a popular response, panel guests including Tim Smit, chief executive of The Eden Project, and Sarah Sands, editor in chief of readers digest, are set for an incite into a range of issues from throughout the community.

Jonathan Dimbleby will chair the debate, with Iain Dale, political commentator and publisher of Total Politics Magazine and Mary Beard, professor of Classics at Cambridge University, completing the line up.

Proceedings will begin at 6.45pm with the programme going on air at 8pm and repeated on Saturday at 1pm on BBC Radio Four.

The Town Council say there are a few remaining tickets for the event and anybody interested should contact the council offices on Silver Street before 1pm on friday.
