The incident occured in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police are appealing for information after a burglary at Haydon Welch Jewellers in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A police spokesman said an unknown offended smashed a front window at the High Street shop and reached in to grab jewellery.

The incident occurred between 2.01am and 2.10am on Thursday, August 17.
