April crime rise in Ottery

REPORTED crime in Ottery rose last month compared to the same period last year. Fourteen incidents were logged from 88 calls to police in April, compared to ten crimes from 75 calls.

Fourteen incidents were logged from 88 calls to police in April, compared to ten crimes from 75 calls.

Reports included three assaults, a Tipton burglary for which a man was cautioned, and car damage in Mill Street.

A shoplifter ended up having to pay an £80 fine after attempting to swipe garden cutters from Otter Nurseries.
