Six artists with different creative styles put their work on show in free exhibition
Six East Devon artists with a variety of creative styles are staging a joint exhibition at Kennaway House.
The Aspirations show is also a chance to meet the artists and buy their work.
Carolyn Barker is an oil painter specialising in sea scenes, capturing the atmosphere of its many moods. Kerry Johnstone enjoys landscapes and is moving towards a more abstract style. Maureen Stone loves representing Devon’s coast and countryside, portraying atmosphere through light, shadows and reflections in water. Alison Witchell uses art to express her subconscious. Her work captures the essence of the natural world and its ever-changing colours and moods.
Mike Stevens began by painting fantasy subjects but has now developed his own style, ‘expressive realism’. Tracey Rapson uses mixed media to create vivid, colourful art with an element of surprise.
The free exhibition runs from Sunday (November 4) until Saturday 10.
