Association launches car boot sales

PUBLISHED: 16:58 14 July 2010

SIDMOUTH College Association is launching a series of car boot sales on the back of demand from sellers.

The sales will be held in the car park of the college in Primley Road, on the first Sunday of the month for a trial period of three months, starting on August 1. Gates will open to buyers from 9.30am. The association’s aim is to raise money and help fund requests that fall outside the departmental budgets. It has given £5,000 for equipment including keyboards for the music department and tents for outdoor activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme. A further £2,500 has been pledged toward the refurbishment of the Sixth Form Common Room during the summer holidays.

Pre-booking by sellers is essential, £5 per vehicle. No traders and no trailers. Email devon47@btinternet.com or call 01395 513382.
