POLICE are appealing for information after an attempted break-in at a Sidmouth supermarket.
Officers were called to Waitrose at Stowford Rise on Tuesday morning following a report that the door had been tampered with.
The attempted break-in happened between 10.05pm on Monday and 5.45am on Tuesday, when there was no staff in the store.
A police spokesman said: "We would like to hear from anybody who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area."
