WHEN it comes to communication, Lenny Titherington is the tops.
To prove it the manager of Sidmouth's Cancer Research UK's Fore Street shop has received a communications award from the charity.
She was nominated by area manager Lesley Scott who said: "She is the only shop manager in the UK to get the award."
As well as telling the public and press about the shop's work, Lenny keeps her team of volunteers in the loop.
Lesley said: "She has worked really hard in the past year to keep everyone up-to-date on what the charity achieves and how the money is spent.
"She stands out from the crowd because of that."
Lenny received the award in London and said: "What an honour, I am absolutely elated to be recognised in such a way and the volunteers are thrilled to bits.
