AXMINSTER Rotarians are taking on a challenge by Bill Gates in aid of charity.
The billionaire computer entrepreneur has pledged $100 million to Polioplus, a Rotary/World Health Organisation campaign to eradicate Polio in the world - if Rotary Clubs around the world can match his figure.
The Rotarians will be carrying out street collections in the town on Thursday, December 18, and are calling on residents to give generously.
Polioplus has been deemed successful so far, with polio now limited to very few countries.
