BBC Spotlight journalist and author Simon Hall will visit Ottery's library next Tuesday, June 15.
As part of National Crime Writing Week the BBC's South West crime correspondent and writer of 'The TV Detective' novels will be at the library at 7pm to talk about his life and career.
His books, all set in Devon, feature a TV reporter and Detective Inspector who work together to solve a series of extraordinary crimes.
Tickets (�2.50) for the event must be purchased in advance and are available from Ottery library. Contact the library on (01404) 813838 for more information.
