THE Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth will be holding beach-themed holiday workshops for children on Tuesday August, 4 and Wednesday 5.

These interactive events will include making windmills or flags, model rafts, pebble painting and colouring.

Jan Aherne, who runs the Education and Activities unit at The Donkey Sanctuary, said: "Sessions are going to be really good fun and children can make it even more special by having their face painted (no extra charge) if they wish."

There will also be Grooming and Walking sessions held on Monday and Thursday, subject to weather. These sessions give children a unique "hands on" experience with the donkeys.

No booking is required. There is a small charge of £3 per child, or £2.50 each for two or more. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Sessions are held from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
