BEER coastguard rescue officers dealt with two incidents off Seaton beach yesterday, Sunday.
They were sent to Seaton Beach just after noon to investigate reports of a speedboat and jetski being operated dangerously close to swimmers.
However, the boats had left the area before they arrived.
Shortly afterward the team received a 999 call reporting a swimmer in difficulties off Seaton beach.
They saw the man being helped from the water by a canoeist and another swimmer. He did not require medical help.
