The centre was set up by Beer Village Heritage and is operated by volunteers from the village.
It was built in 2006 and was a collaborative effort between a number of groups.
The centre is one of a number of gateway centres along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and provides an important role in providing visitor information.
