SINCE its transformation in June, Beer Baby and Toddler Group has seen a large increase in children through its doors.
The newly named Beer Tiddlers now welcomes about 20 mums and their youngsters every week.
Ali Chapman, a member of Beer Tiddlers committee, said: Before the restructure there was only three or four mums coming.
We wanted to reach out to all the people in the village as it is a community service and introduce new mums.
We wanted to make it more accessible and make sure it has a welcoming atmosphere."
The group has undergone a complete restructure and now features craft, music and a defined play area.
It has also recently been presented with £150 from Beer Bag for Life which they have used to buy new toys.
The group also works closely with Beer Puffins pre-school and Beer Primary School.
Ali added: We meet up with the Puffins every six weeks and take part in music sessions. It eases the transition from Tiddlers to pre-school."
Martin O'Mahony, the head teacher of Beer Primary School also comes to visit us and meet the children."
Beer Tiddlers meet every Wednesday in the Congregational Hall from 10am-12pm during term time. It costs £3 per family or £1 for a baby under 6 months old. There is also a £1 fee for any children not in the immediate family.
The group is a non-profit organisation and the entry fee covers the cost of the hall rent, refreshments and craft materials.
