BUDDING star Ben Shapiro is flying from America to take part in a musical production in Sidmouth.

Ben, 12, attended the Back to Broadway Musical Theatre Summer School at Colyton Grammar School in August while staying with his gran.

He is flying back from his home in San Diego California, to appear in Back to Broadway’s touring stage show at the Manor Pavilion on October 30.

Ben enjoyed the week-long summer school, and joins 23 other students for the production, in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.

He will appear on stage with professional artists Gavin James-Burke, who took the lead role in the UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and performs with the English National Opera; Gina Price, from international touring show Beyond the Barricade; Amy Whittle from the Welsh National Opera and Kellie Potter from West End hit musical Les Miserables.

Back to Broadway events director Sue Bearcroft said “We hope that as many people as possible will come along and support the charity, and Ben certainly needs congratulating for travelling over 5,000 miles to be with us.”

Tickets are available at Manor Pavilion Box Office on (01395) 514413.
