Best-selling romance author Joanna Trollope will be taking to the stage in Sidmouth as part of the first Meet the Author event in 2018.

The well-known author has 19 highly acclaimed and best-selling novels, including City of Friends, The Rector’s Wife and Marrying the Mistress.

Joanna will be visiting Kennaway House next Saturday (March 3) to talk about her latest novel An Unsuitable Match.

The best-selling author will be launching this year’s Meet the Author Series, which already has a list a big names booked to speak.

Joanna’s latest book was released yesterday (Thursday) and is an uplifting story of love, family and second chances.

The novel tells the tale of Rose Woodrowe who is getting married to Tyler Masson, a wonderful, sensitive man who is head-over-hells in love with her.

The book is about two families, two proposals and a decision that could pull them apart.

It is not the first time for Rose and Tyler and their five grown-up children have strong opinions. Who will they listen to and who will they please?

Rose and Tyler are determined to get it right this time, but in trying to make everyone happy, can they ever by happy themselves.

As well as being a best-selling author, Joanna was appointed OBE in 1996 and a trustee of the National Literacy Trust in 2012.

She has chaired the Whitbread and Orange Awards and has also been a judge for many other literature prize.

As well as this Joanna has also been apart of two DCMS panels on public libraries and is a patron of numerous charities, including Meningitis Now and Chawton House Library.

As well as this, she also updated Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility in 2014 as the opening novel in the Austen Project.
