POLICE have issued an appeal for information after a recycling box was stolen from a Sidmouth address and dumped in a river.

The incident happened 20 minutes after midnight on Tuesday.

The box was taken from a Mill Street address and witnesses in the area saw a male youth wearing a stripy top chucking the box into the River Sid.

Anyone with information should contact police on 08452 777444 quoting crime reference number KS/09/503.
