AN UNUSUAL sight was noticed last week by a keen bird watching couple from Sidmouth. Rosemary Sidwell and her husband, of Roselands Avenue, noticed hundreds of Redwings and Fieldfores on the rugby football ground opposite their house. Rosemary said: "The whole ground looked like it had been churned up with mud but it was actually covered in birds. It's unusual to see so many of them around here. It must have been with the weather and the way the wind was blowing." Unfortunately the birds flew off before Rosemary could capture the image with a camera.
