CHURCHGOERS in Sidbury welcomed a special guest at their all-age Tingle service – the Bishop of Crediton.
Congregation members were delighted when the Reverend Nick McKinnel gave the talk on Epiphany.
He heard about the service at St Giles, about to enter its seventh year and held on the second Sunday of the month at 11am, and asked if he could attend. Penny Lamb, one of the lay leaders, interviewed Bishop Nick on his role.
Parishioners also bade a fond farewell to retiring leader Kathy Butler – well known for her knowledge of music and her cakes.
Kathy was presented with gifts by some of the children.
