Sports fan Bishop Michael backs U-Support to take unwell children to sporting events

THE Bishop of Exeter, with his own bear Vivian, features in a new book to help children with life-limiting illnesses.

The Right Reverend Michael Langrish, a keen sports fan, has given his backing to U-Support, which works in the UK and abroad to take unwell children to football matches, other sporting fixtures and cultural events.

The book, A Very English Bear, has been specially written by Robin Goddard and Bishop Michael features in it with his bear, Vivian, (the Ursine Bishop of Sherborne).

Last Thursday, he attended the book launch in the House of Lords and on Wednesday its author was signing copies of the book in Exeter.
