MOVE aside Mr Kipling- the Branscombe Ladies are the new apple pie connoisseurs!
The smell of fresh baked goods wafted through the village last week during the traditional Apple Pie Day.
There was a fantastic turnout at the village hall and more than �200 will be donated to Macmillan Nurses.
This year the organisers wore traditional outfits while serving up- borrowed from Sidbury Fair Week members.
Rosemary Pavey said: "We wanted to do something different and it was old-fashioned dress for an old-fashioned custom! The day went very well. We usually estimate 30 people will turn up but we had about 38.
