CHILDREN from Branscombe Preschool and Branscombe Primary had a refreshing break from lessons on Monday, September 28, when they tried their hand at making apple juice using a traditional apple press.
CHILDREN from Branscombe Preschool and Branscombe Primary had a refreshing break from lessons on Monday, September 28, when they tried their hand at making apple juice using a traditional apple press.
They gathered in the orchard at The Old Bakery tea rooms, Branscombe, and had great fun collecting apples from the trees and ground.
They then took turns to use the apple press and enjoyed sampling the juice they made. Neil Swait, acting head, said: "The school would like to express their thanks to Angela and Tony Lambert and to Guy Bentley who assisted them with the apple press.
