THE Coastguard was scrambled after reports of four red flares off Branscombe Beach last Friday at around 10pm.
A white para was fired by the Coastguard but nothing was seen.
After interviewing the first informant and a fisherman on the beach, it was revealed the flares were a meteor show travelling North West to South East across the sky.
