Organisers of Branscombe Harvest Fair have added a number of new features ahead of the event tomorrow (Saturday).

The fair will open at noon, with the crowning of this year’s Harvest King and Queen, and run until 4pm. During the afternoon, the Branscombe Horticultural Society Rose Bowl will be presented to the overall winner of the village show’s baking, produce and craft competition.

Visitors will also be able to pay £1 to take on the Branscombe Photo Trail and can look out for harvest ‘guys’ residents have put up around the village.

New to the fair’s performance arena will be a birds of prey display, the Sunshine Samba band from Seaton, and a performance from the Coombefield Dog Agility display team. Sidford and Branscombe WIs will be running a craft marquee and visitors will be able to book a variety of treatments in the wellbeing tent.

Committee member Amanda Darragh said: “We’re all very excited - last year is going to be a hard act to follow, but we are pleased to be welcoming back many of the popular attractions as well as introducing a number of new features.”
