FIREFIGHTERS were called to Branscombe last week following reports of smoke coming from a building.

Three crews from Seaton, Colyton and Sidmouth attended the scene at the Square on Friday at around 5.50pm.

The first crew found smoke billowing from the property and further reports concluded there was a small blaze in the laundry room.

Firefighters used a pressure ventilation fan, one hose reel and a covering jet to extinguish the flames.
