AFTER two year of hibernation, the Branscombe Players comeback on Saturday proved very popular with the packed audience.
There were three short plays on offer, Two Old Bags, by Paul Haines about the philosophy of two Bag Ladies on a Park bench, Villa for Sale, translated from the French, by Sacha Guitry and a whimsical comedy about a French twister who sees an opportunity to make instant money and takes it.
And after the interval, From Here to the Library, by Jimmie Chinn- a poignant romantic comedy about a spinster librarian, looking after a deaf and grumpy father, who is wooed by her boss after an incident at work.
The evening was marked by the presence of the life president, Glenn Carlyon, former Headteacher of Branscombe School.

Paul Haines, a member of Branscombe Players, said: "He (Glenn Carlyon) was well pleased and has encouraged the Players to press on with future revival plans.
