Now renamed Whacky Races, organisers are expecting residents to turn out in large numbers tomorrow (Saturday) to raise money for Force cancer charity.

People of all ages have been building their ‘prams’ to race around the village. The race will begin at 6.30pm at the Fountain Head. Competitors will be set five challenges along the course before finishing at the Mason Arms.

Branscombe Harvest Fair will return the following week on Saturday, September 17, at the village hall. Events will run all afternoon, starting from noon.

Committee member Amanda Darragh said: “We are all very excited about this year’s fair - last year is going to be a hard act to follow, but we are pleased to be welcoming back many of the popular attractions, as well as introducing new features.”
