Staff and pupils at Branscombe Primary School have achieved double success after receiving ‘outstanding’ in its latest SIAMS inspection.

The school was rated ‘good’ in its recent Ofsted visit and this week a National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) inspector praised the outstanding leadership at the Church of England school.

Andrew Rickett said committed staff provided a stimulating environment and the high quality relationships helped the children to progress and achieve in their learning.

Katie Gray, executive headteacher of the Jubilee Foundation, said: “It is lovely to know that the ethos and values which the school community promotes on a daily basis have been recognised in this way.

“It is pleasing to know that the efforts we have made in developing the children’s spirituality have been noted in the report and that the inspector recognised how the school is continually making links between its Christian ethos and curriculum areas.”
