AN impressive 1,400 was raised for two charities in the second Branscombe Variety Show of the year.
Devon Air Ambulance and Seaton Hospital League of Friends both benefitted from the musical and acting extravaganza, which included a host of performers.
Nigel and Annette, accompanied by Kathy at the piano kicked off the night, followed by Sue Gooding, Sue King and Baz Breadmore.
The last act of the evening was the lively Ned and the Turmitts.
Ross was the compere during the show, which also had delicious food on offer.
Edwin Purchase, one of the organisers, said: "It went very well and the results financially were very good."
The third and final summer village variety show, again in aid of Seaton Hospital League of Friends and Devon Air Ambulance, took place yesterday.
