THE body of a man dressed in jeans and a white t-shirt has been discovered in the water at Sidmouth.

The man was found near Picket Rock. His body was discovered by an angler fishing off Ladram Bay.
The Sidmouth Rescue boat team was sent to recover the body at around 8am this morning.
The police are working to establish the identity of the man so they can contact his family.

Exmouth coastguard team was this afternoon tasked to search Peak Hill for the man's rucksack.

It was eventually discovered by Portland coastguard rescue helicopter.
