CLASSICAL BRIT award winner Jack Liebeck is set to perform in Sidmouth to raise money for the Christian Aid International Appeal.
The London-born violinist, who made his concerto debut in the mid-90s at the age of 15, will be playing in Sidmouth Parish Church on Saturday, October 15.
This follows his exceptional performances with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.
Jack has been deemed as “a musician of exceptional gifts” by the Daily Telegraph, following his celebrated Dvorak Violin Concerto.
He was recently appointed Professor of Violin at the Royal Academy of Music, and is also the Artistic Director of Oxford May Music Festival.
At his show in Sidmouth, Jack will perform the much-loved Violin Concerto by Felix Mendelssohn, accompanied by the Isca Ensemble.
The rest of the evening’s programme consists of Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite and Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony.
Tickets (�10 for adults and �5 for students) include wine and refreshments and can be purchased in advance from Paragon Books in Fore Street, Sidmouth, or at the door on the night. Proceeds will go to the Christian Aid International Appeal.
