THE ACTIONS of quick-thinking members of the public led to the arrest of two men on suspicion of burglary.Police received a call from a man walking his dog close to the old Cutler Hammer factory, Mill Street, last Wednesday, at about 5.30pm.He reported two men acting suspiciously outside the factory. A pair of bolt cutters were found by the factory gateway after the two men got in a van and drove off.The passer-by had taken down the van's registration number and told police. A 31-year-old and a 24-year-old, both from Taunton, were arrested on suspicion of burglary a short time later.The two men were questioned at Heavitree Road Police Station in Exeter before being released on bail until July 3.
