POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a house in Sidmouth was burgled last weekend when the homeowners were upstairs sleeping.
Just before 1am on Saturday, February 7 police received a report from a concerned neighbour that the front door of a house in Temple Street was open.
Officers went to the address and found items worth around �500, including a black ACER Espire laptop, a Cowon black MP3 player in a black suede cover and a three quarter length green khaki jacket, were taken.
The burglary took place between midnight and 1am.

A police spokesman said: "We are urging anyone with information or anybody who has been offered these goods for sale to contact Sidmouth Police."
