A burst water main in Newton Poppleford has been causing delays for drivers.

South West Water was notified of a problem on Exmouth Road, close to the junction with the B3052, at 5am this morning (Tuesday).

Repairs have already been completed but temporary two-way traffic lights have been installed.

The lights will remain in place until tomorrow afternoon to allow the repair to set, so drivers have been told to expect delays until then.

A South West Water spokeswoman said: “We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
