CAMEO ROLE: Sidmouth’s Cameo Singers will stage a spring concert next Saturday, May 19, at St Francis Hall, at 7.30pm, in aid of Hospiscare. Tickets (�6) are available from Paragon Books.

BLOOM: A meeting for prospective friends of Sidmouth in Bloom will take place next Saturday, May 19, at the Methodist Church Hall, from 2pm to 5pm.

FUN RACES: The Sid Vale Athletic Meeting’s annual fete and fun races will take place on Sunday, May 27.
The popular event, set to take place at Sidford’s rugby ground in Byes Lane, will get under way from 2pm.
Children get in for free. Entry for adults is �1, with profits going to local charities.
The event has now been running for nearly 60 years.
