A NEW campaign group, based in Sidbury, has been created to help Sidmouth residents and the nation keep warm this winter without running up horror heating bills.
YouGen founder Cathy Debenham this week launched a month-long bid to promote ways people can make practical changes in their house to reduce heating bills and keep cosy.
“So far, winter hasn’t really shown itself, but we’re conscious of the scary height to which many people’s heating bills rose last winter – and the number of people who shivered on the sofa wrapped in their duvet instead of turning up the thermostat. Now’s the time to act,” said Cathy, who hopes the YouGen website will net national coverage. A YouGenUK Facebook page will feature daily ideas, competitions and advice throughout November.
