A WEBSITE to fight controversial plans to grow East Devon’s population by a third by building almost 20,000 homes over the next 20 years is now live.
Campaign group Communities Before Developers is the driving force behind the site, which explores the consultation document for EDDC’s Local Development Framework (LDF) Core Strategy.
Website founder Sharon Pavey, East Devon’s Green Party co-ordinator, said: “People deserve to know what the real impact of the LDF is, so we have set up a website which we will all contribute to on a regular basis, as the situation unfolds over the coming months.”
Group members will now regularly blog their news and views. The next stage after November 30 - the end of the consultation - is a council vote, before the final public consultation early next year. The final stage of the process is the planning inspector’s inquiry later in 2011.
