Man, 21, arrested in relation to Ladymead incident
A car knocked over a lamppost then crashed through a fence - and into a house - in the early hours of Sunday morning (August 2).
Police said no-one is believed to have been injured in the incident, which saw a red Nissan Primera end up wedged in a property in Ladymead, Sidmouth at around 4am.
Western Power was called to deal with the damaged lamppost and a structural engineer was brought in to survey the house.
• A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said a 21-year-old man from Exmouth has been charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit. He will appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on August 18.
