Cardboard recycling site probe in Sidmouth
SIDMOUTH residents could be handed new cardboard recycling facilities.
SIDMOUTH residents could be handed new cardboard recycling facilities.
East Devon District Council (EDDC) is looking at how it can offer the service and has asked the town for potential sites that are suitable for special receptacles to be placed.
The authority is considering an option to install cardboard banks at various locations.
Sites will need to be accessible to heavy goods vehicles and must have enough space for banks to be emptied.
Town councillors suggested asking Waitrose and Lidl bosses if they’d be interested in any such move when they met last month.
Car parks at The Ham and Manor Pavilion were also mooted.
