Purr-fect homemade bakes bring in the visitors to coffee morning.

Homemade bakes proved to be the icing on the cake as Cats Protection’s East Devon branch raised £319.

The group held a coffee morning at Kennaway House, Sidmouth, on Saturday to net much-needed funds to help unwanted or homeless cats.

Sheila Down, events co-ordinator for the branch, said: “I was pleasantly surprised; we did really well.

“It takes a lot to look after the cats before they are rehomed.”
