Catholic community’s farewell to Sidmouth couple

PUBLISHED: 13:57 04 November 2011

SIDMOUTH’S Catholic community has said a sad farewell to two well-respected parishioners.

Win Fish and his wife Jane are moving to Scotland to be near their daughter.

They were presented with a picture by priest Canon Paul Cummins to remind them of their parish family in Sidmouth and everyone was treated to a glass of bubbly at a farewell reception in St Teresa’s Hall last month.

Win, a former Anglican Vicar, was ordained a Catholic Priest in June this year and regularly celebrated mass in the Church of The Most Precious Blood. Jane has been an active member of the Ladies Guild.

Canon Paul Cummins thanked the couple for all they had given the parish community, their humour, their enthusiasm and their faith. “They will be missed by all,” he said.
