SIDBURY Fireworks organisers handed out a total of £2,400 to causes this week.

A record turnout at the November 5 spectacular helped raise the amount.

Armed forces charity DecAid received £1,500, Sidbury Primary school was handed £500 for the purchase of computer equipment, and a donation of £400 was also made to St John Ambulance.

Cheques were handed out at Sidbury Village Hall by fireworks event treasurer Roger Davey.
