Celebrity chefs head to Pecorama to raise a lot of dough for St Loye’s Foundation

A pair of celebrity chefs will be at Pecorama on Saturday, hoping to ‘Bake It Big’ for charity.

Richard Hunt and Christine Jensen will be giving baking demonstrations in the Top Spot marquee.

Aspiring bakers can get some top tips from the duo as part of the visitor attraction’s first Bake It Big event. Peco is raising money for St Loye’s Foundation in Exeter, a charity that supports people with disabilities and mental health problems. Richard Hunt, the chef and proprietor of the Devon Scone Company, has also appeared on Iron Chef UK and the BBC’s Edwardian and Victorian Farm series. Christine Jensen is an award-winning baker from the Peboryon Cakes of Distinction.

Among the activities is a children’s cake workshop and competition run by the Fun Kitchen.

Christine and Richard will pick their winners and will present prizes to the best young bakers.
