ART lovers descended on Branscombe over the Easter weekend to view the bi-annual charity art exhibition held in the village hall. The three day show, which included over 400 paintings and drawings from 100 artists as well as craft and pottery, raised 1,300 for charity. The majority of this will go to Sidmouth based Living with Cancer group and it will also be given to Branscombe Village Hall Fund, St Winifred's Church and the village's primary school. Last year 1,500 was raised for charity but the organisers said considering the current economic climate they feel it was a great success.
