YOUNGSTERS from across Devon are being invited to take part in October half-term football coaching camp.

Exeter Chiefs' community department, Community Chiefs, will run the camp for three days at Sandy Park from Monday, October 27, until Wednesday, October 29.

Ages at camp will range from Under sevens to Under 16s and each day starts at 10am and finishes at 3pm.

Those taking part will receive a goody bag and T-shirt, coaching led by Chiefs' community development managers Keith Fleming and Tony Walker, a chance to meet the players and to watch the squad in training, and a behind-the-scenes tour.

Mr Fleming said: "We have recently run a similar scheme at Crediton RFC and all the youngsters that took part were able to improve their rugby skills during the three days.

"We welcome boys and girls of all abilities from right across our rugby-playing county and we make sure that everybody enjoys themselves.

"It is a great opportunity for youngsters to spend the majority of their week off from school running around in the fresh air and seeing how professional rugby players spend their week building up to match day."

Tony added: "Our players really enjoy working with young people and they are looking forward to meeting those that attend our course next month. We would advise anyone interested to book in advance to avoid any disappointment."

Cost for the three-day camp is £75 per child and can be booked via the Chiefs' website at www.exeterchiefs.co.uk or by collecting an application form from the Sandy Park ticket office Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.

Closing date for applications is Monday, October 20.
