A TREAT is in store for lovers of choral music next month when members of Solihull Chandos Choir perform in Sidmouth.

A TREAT is in store for lovers of choral music next month when members of Solihull Chandos Choir perform in Sidmouth.

The Midlands-based choir will give a concert in St Francis Church, Woolbrook, on Saturday, October 3, in aid of the Exeter Cathedral Old Choristers Association Wesley Foundation Trust.

Main work of the evening is Beethoven's Mass in C, but the programme also includes Mendelssohn's Hear My Prayer, with its lovely second part O for the Wings of a Dove, as well as pieces by Haydn and Mozart.

Soloists Hannah Partridge, Michael Dobson, Gordon Pike and Michael Clark are former Exeter Cathedral choristers. Some are also lay clerks at the cathedral.
