Worshippers across the region are being invited to take part in a mass event this week.

Sidmouth Christians are among those encouraged to take part in the county’s biggest ever prayer gathering.

Exeter based Rediscover Church is running the Devon Awake initiative and is hoping to see more than 1,000 Christians across the region tune in via live stream.

There will be the opportunity to pray and worship as well as network with other Christians through an online chat platform. The event will cover a wide range of topics and themes and viewers will be able to participate in worship following lyrics displayed on the live stream feed.

Rediscover Church has experience pioneering live stream events as they broadcast their weekly services live to a local audience.

The broadcast will take place on Thursday November 29 and Friday November 30 at 7.30pm. Visit www.devonawake.com for more information.
