BRANSCOMBE: Councillor Mike Green, John Bass, Branscombe Parish Council chairman and a National Trust representative will be meeting at St Winifred's Church on February 17 to discuss extending the churchyard. Councillor Green explained: "Branscombe Churchyard is almost full now. Branscombe Church, Branscombe Parish Council and myself wish to extend it so we can extend its use, enabling Branscombe residents to continue to be able to be buried in Branscombe." The land the church wishes to acquire belongs to the National Trust and the meeting is to discuss the best way forward. Councillor Green added: "We have all been working towards this for some time now and I believe that we may now be on the way to making real progress.
