A pair of Sidmouth slimmers who set shining examples have been crowned Slimming World’s diamond members of the year.

Clare Luke and Beverley Wilkins-Wall won the title at their Wednesday and Saturday groups, respectively, for their impressive long-term weight loss.

The award is voted for by members and given to the person who has lost weight and continued to keep the pounds off.

Beverley said: “Like most people, I’d tried to lose weight countless times, yet nothing ever really seemed to stick. Slimming World was completely different because it was just so simple.”

Consultant Harriet Steptoe said: “I’m so proud of Beverley and Clare and the inspirational way in which they have maintained their weight loss. It’s always great for new members to meet Beverley and Clare and see just what’s possible at Slimming World.”
