POLICE and other agencies are advising walkers to be extra careful and not to take any unnecessary risks after the recent adverse weather has battered the coastline.
They have warned that water has left areas weakened and that landslips are likely.
The threat of big waves has seen public have been advised to avoid the coastline altogether in extremely bad weather.
Coastguards have urged residents not to take risks and to check weather conditions if they do head out.
If anybody gets into difficulty, or spots anyone who might be in trouble, they are advised to call 999.
