AN elderly woman was taken to hospital after she fell and hit her head on rocks at Jacobs Ladder, Sidmouth last week.
An ambulance crew was called to the incident which happened at around 5.40pm on Thursday, August 13.
Devon Air Ambulance and the Coastguard were scrambled but the land crew eventually transported the lady to hospital un-aided.
The 70-year-old suffered head injuries and some minor wounds and was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service said the woman's injuries were "significant" but not life threatening.
